Brunei MSME Festival opens with over 200 exhibitors

Brunei (Commonwealth Union)_ After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Darussalam Enterprise’s (DARe) Brunei MSME Festival is back again for its second edition from March 16 to 19 at Bridex, featuring 211 exhibitors. The festival provides an affordable platform for domestic brands to exhibit their products and services while also promoting the public’s awareness of entrepreneurship. The festival will be open from 9 am to 9 pm in Hall 1 and 2, hosting 190 Brunei-based businesses and 21 national agencies managing various business processes.

Apart from the exhibitor showcase, the festival will feature 20 business seminars and a conference on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the exchange of business opportunities and processes. Additionally, interactive activities by Seria Energy Lab and Apex Racing will also be available for visitors. Exhibitors are classified into six categories, including food services, food manufacturing, handicrafts, fashion and textiles, healthcare and beauty, home and lifestyle, and services.

Additionally, to focus on how the pandemic has changed the economic landscape, the MSME Festival focuses on the theme “DARe to Innovative: Growth & Resilience through Innovation.” The dedicated conference on Thursday at 2 pm in Hall 1 and supporting seminars throughout the event will explore the theme, featuring a panel discussion with Nextacloud Technologies CEO Agus Muslim; Kyushua University’s Director of Research Promotion Scott Valentine; and Thailand’s National Science and Technology Development Agency’s Director of Business Innovation Centre Sansanee Huabsomboon.

Further, the seminars will feature government and national agencies discussing business processes and opportunities, while entrepreneurs addressing the latest industry trends. While visits to the conference or seminars are open, visitors can also reserve their place via DARe’s eventbrite. DARe will also organize business matching events for exhibitors and specific companies, with a local session covering distributors and retailers Ben Foods, Seri Nova, Ghanim, Malar Setia, and Teeyem Majeed, and an international session covering buyers from Singapore, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.
