MONTREAL, Quebec (CU)_Since going public in 1986, CGI Inc. has made more nearly 90 acquisitions, with its latest major purchase being concluded in 20212, when the company bought United Kingdom’s Logica plc, in a in a £1.7 billion (C$2.7 billion) cash deal. Despite these major expansion efforts over the years, the IT and business consulting firm hasn’t had to borrow in public markets until recently, owing to the fact that it has been reinvesting around $400 million of about $2 billion that the company generates each year.
