Compact SUV with new features launched

-

India (Commonwealth)_  Mahindra has replaced the XUV300 with its newest small SUV, which is equipped with several feature enhancements. Along with having a different design language from the XUV300, it also comes in a new petrol automatic option this time.

The entry-level and mid-level models use a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 109 horsepower and is available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter transmission. Alternatively, a 1.5-liter diesel version with 115 horsepower and a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT transmission (costing an extra Rs 80,000 compared to the manual equivalent) may be chosen. The 1.2-liter, turbo-petrol, 129-hp engine is the most potent choice on the 3XO. It comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra made a major redesign for 3XO in terms of appearance. The LED headlight housing, new LED DRLs, and reworked bumper are all located up front. C-shaped tail lights and a unique linked LED light bar are located at the back. In addition, the number plate is now located on the back bumper as opposed to the tail light. In addition, the better models of the Mahindra 3XO will come with a new set of alloy wheels.

The inside of the 3XO and the Mahindra XUV400 EV are somewhat similar. Mahindra has previously disclosed that the 3XO will come equipped with creature amenities including a driver display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen screen, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone temperature control. Level 2 ADAS, which is limited to higher models and is purportedly derived from the Mahindra XV700, is another significant upgrade. Since the Venue and Sonet only offer Level 1 ADAS, this is a first for the sector.

Six airbags, ISOFIX mounts, rear disc brakes, and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) that is supposedly the same as the XUV700 are all included as standard safety features. There are seven different exterior colors available, and certain versions additionally include the option of dual-tone paint. Among them are Citrine Yellow, Nebula Blue, Deep Forest, Everest White, Stealth Black, and Dune Dust.

On April 29, Mahindra & Mahindra will present the new Mahindra XUV3XO, which is just a facelift for the Mahindra XUV300, in India. The sub-4 meter little SUV will have all the modern amenities one would expect from a vehicle in its new design.

The Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza are the two most popular vehicles in the highly competitive sub-4 meter small SUV sector. Then there are additional competitors, such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx. These are some of the best-selling models in the business.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Hyundai Venue, the Kia Sonet, and the Tata Nexon all reported wholesale sales of 169,897, 124,307, and 134,735 units in FY24. During the fiscal year, Mahindra XUV300 sales were over 54,000 vehicles.

Mahindra has crammed the new XUV3XO with a ton of goodies in the face of such fierce competition, as the just released teaser video demonstrates by the business. The upgraded variant has LED-connected taillamp units and vertically stacked headlamp units with DRLs. New 16-inch alloys are also available.

But the main alteration is found within the cabin. While the Mahindra XUV300 had a rather antiquated appearance, the Mahindra XUV3XO has major changes, including a new dashboard and a reworked center console. The automated temperature control unit and touchscreen infotainment system are new. The steering wheel appears brand new. The front seats of the car are also ventilated.

Mahindra has even equipped the XUV3XO with a panoramic sunroof, making it the first model in its class to do so. The basic feature of the other sub-4 meter small SUVs is an electronic sunroof.

In the Global NCAP crash testing, the Mahindra XUV300 fared well, earning four stars for child passenger safety and a perfect five stars for adult occupant protection. With features like electronic stability control, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and all four disc brakes, among others, we anticipate the new Mahindra XUV3XO to meet strict safety criteria.
