England (Commonwealth Union) _ The last conference, scheduled to take place on December 1 at the CBS Arena in Coventry, is the last opportunity for transport managers to attend the Logistics UK Transport Manager 2022 conferences. With a record-breaking 1,700 delegates attending the events worldwide thus far, the conference series, sponsored by Brigade Electronics, has been the most successful yet.
In addition to announcing the winner of its Transport Manager of the Year competition during the conference, Logistics UK will also honour and celebrate the top transport managers and their achievements over the previous year. All five contenders will be given certificates, and the winner will be dubbed the “Transport Manager of the Year” after obtaining trophies for first and second place.
The winner of the Transport Manager of the Year 2022 will be announced at the concluding event of Logistics UK’s record-breaking Transport Manager conference series, says David Wells, Chief Executive. The volume and caliber of entries have been exceptional. I want to thank everyone who entered and congratulate all of the submissions that made the short list. This competition honors the finest in the business while providing a thorough examination of the expertise of transport managers within the sector. Picking winners from such a strong field of contenders will be a difficult challenge for the judges.
With over 20 years of experience in the transportation sector as a driver, account manager, and transport manager, Lee Prentice is the Greggs PLC’s transport manager. “Since I joined, we have delivered to 487 stores daily in southeast England, 42 more than we did in March 2021. I love to teach my team members new things and lead by example. Taking on a team of 120 workers was one of the best challenges I have encountered in my career thus far,” he said.
