Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ 3BHK, Siddharth’s 40th film, has struck a chord with both moviegoers and critics due to its honest depiction of the problems experienced by India’s middle class. Sri Ganesh directed the film, which opened in theaters before being available on streaming sites. Among the many positive reviews, one came from former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar, who applauded the film. During a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, a fan asked Tendulkar to share his latest favorite movies. Sachin mentioned two films, including 3BHK, saying, “I watch films whenever I get time. Recently, I enjoyed 3BHK and Ata Thambaycha Naay.”

This unexpected praise from such an iconic figure quickly caught the attention of the film’s director, Sri Ganesh, who responded on social media, thanking Tendulkar and calling him a childhood hero. The cast was equally thrilled. Chaithra Achar, who made her Tamil cinema debut with 3BHK after a successful career in Kannada films, expressed her excitement online. She said, “Love you, sir. Thank you. This means the world to us,” reflecting the team’s joy at Tendulkar’s endorsement.

The movie tells the story of a typical Indian family attempting to purchase a three-bedroom apartment despite daily challenges such as paying school fees and healthcare costs. Their ambition to purchase a three-bedroom home propels the plot, reflecting the hopes and sacrifices shared by many middle-class families. Released on July 4, 2025, 3BHK celebrates the strength and determination of the Indian middle class. Siddharth, the film’s primary actor, expressed his personal connection to the narrative during a press event. “My parents are part of 3BHK,” he said. “Since I started acting, this is my 40th film. When I shared this with my parents, my father showed pride and relief. It’s an emotional film—one that made me cry. I’m grateful this marks a milestone in my career.”

The movie also stars Sarathkumar, Devayani, and Meetha Raghunath and is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Tendulkar’s other favorite, Ata Thambaycha Naay, is a Marathi film inspired by the true stories of Mumbai’s civic workers. It, like 3BHK, has received appreciation for its honest representation of ordinary problems. Tendulkar was drawn to both films, proving how real-life stories continue to resonate across languages, countries, and professions. For 3BHK, this review is more than just a compliment; it is a powerful confirmation of the film’s emotional impact.
