An actress with finesse, a lady displaying class and an activist creating waves globally. Deepika Padukone is a name not unheard of, a woman celebrated around the world for her work and for her achievements. She went from being a Bollywood film star to a global icon as her career progressed. She started off with her debut film “Om Shanti Om” where she played the lead character Shantipriya against the legendary King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. Since her debut, she has established herself as one of the best actresses ever.

Padukone grew progressively in her career, and today, with over 10 years of experience in the industry, she is recognised as a global icon. She made her hollywood debut in the year 2017 with the action film XXX: Return of Xander Cage where she appeared in a badass role alongside Vin Diesel, gathering an international fanbase.

The actress is celebrated with many accolades under her name with awards and achievements both from India and internationally too. With three Filmfare awards, and seven IIFA awards, alongside recognition as Indian of the Year by NDTV and the Guinness World Record for being the highest earning Bollywood actress ever, she has changed the game in the film industry with her unwavering spirit and dedication.

In addition to these many achievements that define her extraordinary personality and craft, the actress recently made history by being the first Indian to unveil the FIFA trophy in Qatar during the world cup which recently took place. The FIFA World Cup is the greatest and the most prestigious sporting event in the world, with a fanbase of millions who commemorate the event and religiously follow the sport. It is an honour to India as a country for being represented through Padukone on an international event of this pedigree and prestige.

The actress is the global brand ambassador of Louis Vuitton, which is a French designer brand specialising in exquisite fashion that depicts the French style. The brand was the official travel case manufacturer of the FIFA World Cup trophy, thereby bestowing Padukone with the honour of unveiling the trophy ahead of the much-anticipated finale. She escorted the trophy to the football ground, and was joined by the former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Deepika’s career and life as a whole is an inspiration to many aspiring girls who are afraid to leave their comfort zone to chase their dreams. She is a portrayal in human form of the fact that nothing is impossible if you have the courage to believe in yourself and work hard. Her achievements bring recognition to her country, establishing India in global presence.
