The author

Diana de Gunzburg was born in Pakistan and is Anglo-Russian-Afghan. Her great-grandfather was the last man to be publically hanged in British India for making war on the Crown. Diana was brought up between the North West Frontier−where her father still farms his estate−and her mother’s native Yorkshire. By the age of seventeen, she had already made the 6000-mile journey overland between the two countries three times. She has recently published articles about her family history in Alef magazine and Afghan Scene. She lives with her husband and teenage daughter in Paris where she teaches yoga.

The book – Moonstone Legacy Trilogy

`An action-packed adventurous tale with an added magical touch of the mystical dancing across the pages. A treat of three books in one, we follow brave and capable Lizzy from the age of 14 as she struggles to break a family curse. Short punchy chapters and beautiful descriptive detailing make this extremely readable. Travelling from Yorkshire to London, India and Spain, each location is vividly brought to life, along with the difficulties Lizzy faces. Occasionally there are sudden or unexplained additions or changes which creates a further edge to proceedings. Murder, intrigue, and excitement abound, however, there are reminders of the intolerance and discrimination that can be found on the different branches of life. As you follow the moon in each of its phases through to the end, Lizzy grows in confidence and determination, ensuring a dramatic but fitting end to the adventures of the Moonstone’. ~ Liz Robinson

The trilogy dives headlong into a compelling family saga as fourteen year-old Lizzy Abercrombie’s mother dies in a tragic accident on the full moon. But was it really an accident? Lizzy discovers that her death may be linked to a mysterious family curse. Determined to find the truth, her quest takes her to the Temple of the Moon in India, where she uncovers the terrible past of her ancestor George Abercrombie. But even as she discovers that the curse was just an old wives’ tale, the real truth puts her in mortal danger from a succession of ruthless enemies, culminating in a showdown at OneWorld, a sinister spiritual theme park in the desert of Almeria in southern Spain.’
