UK (Commonwealth Union)_Elvis Presley is set to return to the stage — as a hologram. Elvis Evolution, an “immersive concert experience” that uses AI and holographic projection, will premiere in London in November. Additional shows are being planned in Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo.
While some are of the belief that the king of rock’n’roll may celebrate his 89th birthday next week propping up the bar of the Heartbreak Hotel, the rest of us will have to make do with an Elvis Presley hologram show in 2024 since a new Elvis Presley hologram show is to premiere in London this year.
Elvis Evolution, an “immersive concert experience” will use AI and holographic technology to create a life size digital recreation of the legendary star and will premiere in London in November, with shows also planned in Las Vegas, Tokyo and Berlin.
The technology will create a lifesize digital Elvis from thousands of his home-video footage and personal photos. The hologram will perform in a celebration of Elvis Presley’s life and musical legacy after a deal between Authentic Brands Group, the owners of the Elvis Presley estate, and Layered Reality, a British immersive entertainment company.
Elvis Evolution will make its bow in the capital in November using AI and hologram technology to create a life size digital hologram of the legendary star from home video footage and personal photos.
The show is a collaboration between UK-based immersive entertainment company Layered Reality and Elvis’ estate, Authentic Brands Group.

It promises to be amazing concert experience where iconic moments in musical history will be performed by the Elvis hologram on a stage in the UK for the first time.
Chief executive of Layered Reality, Andrew McGuinness, said of the news : “Elvis Evolution is a next-generation tribute to the musical legend that is Elvis Presley.
He said Elvis maintains superstar status globally and people around the world no longer want to sit there and passively receive entertainment, but want to be a part of it
It will be a memory-making experience that will be a bucket-list item for Elvis fans and admirers around the world; people can step into the world of Elvis, walk in his shoes and celebrate his extraordinary musical legacy.
Following its opening in London, future versions of the show are planned to open in Las Vegas, Tokyo and Berlin.
The announcement of Elvis Evolution follows the remarkable success of Abba Voyage, in 2022, featuring lifesize avatars of the four members of the Swedish pop group performing as their human counterparts appeared in 1979, in a purpose-built arena in east London.
The show will also offer an after-party Elvis-themed bar and restaurant on site at the TBA venue in the central London location, and will be followed by after parties in an Elvis-themed restaurant and bar featuring live music, DJs and performances.
The avatar concert experience which is continues to run at least until November 2024, at the 3,000-capacity ABBA Arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – was revealed to have boosted London’s economy with nearly £323million in spending turnover within a one year period. There are plans reported for the concert experience to be taken on a world tour.
In a five-star review of ABBA Voyage, NME described the concert as an “epic avatar mega-mix from a brave new world”. It added that ageing rockers and poppers are bound to imitate the idea, but it will be a struggle to come close to the experience of ABBA Voyage.
