European Union returns South Africa-made Johnson & Johnson vaccine

Cape Town, South Africa (CU)_ According to an African Union ambassador, the European Union has agreed to return millions of coronavirus vaccine doses manufactured in South Africa back to the continent. During an online conference, Strive Masiyiwa told the media that South Africa’s Aspen Pharmacare, which makes the Johnson & Johnson vaccine under a deal with the US pharma giant, will also cease delivering doses to Europe.
