First ever cardless withdraw function launched in Uganda

KAMPALA (CU)_Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, consumers across the globe have been abandoning cash almost entirely, largely relying on contactless and digital payment methods after years of reluctance. With digital innovation and closure of bank branches encouraging shoppers to increase reliance on payment cards and ‘tap and go’ transactions, fewer and fewer adults are using printed or minted currency any more.
