First look at Cheltenham Literature Festival 2021 line-up.

There are convention just about anyone’s interest and the Cheltenham Literature Festival is where the book lovers go to enjoy the lineup for the year. Now since the pandemic they have been putting this off as there was no possible way to do crowd control. But it’s safe to say the festivals are coming back with the pandemic somewhat coming under control and people learning to be careful.

With Cheltenham Literature Festival set to make a spectacular return to the town this October 2021, the line-up for this year’s event has been revealed. Taking place from Friday 8 to Sunday 17 October 2021, the festival will make a welcome return to full capacity events.

Some of the biggest names at Cheltenham Literature Festival 2021 include guest curator and Girl, Woman, Other author Bernardine Evaristo, Hollywood actress Joan Collins, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Bimini Bon-Boulash, trailblazing Skunk Anansie frontwoman Skin, comedian Josh Widdicombe, Countdown star Susie Dent, politician Ed Miliband and DJ Annie Mac.

There’s also Poet line up to sooth souls and ears. This section consists of Laureate Simon Armitage, Pointless star Richard Osman, award-winning author Maggie O’Farrell and spoken-word artist Hollie McNish, alongside broadcaster Clare Balding, footballer Peter Schmeichel and children’s author Michael Rosen.

There’s plenty on offer for little ones too, with the jam-packed family programme including events with Waterstones Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell bringing mayhem and magic to the festival, novelist Michael Morpurgo introducing his first new novel in two years, comedian Lenny Henry unveiling his first ever children’s book, Victoria Hislop with her children’s debut and poet Jonny Fluffypunk performing his new The End of the Pier Show.
