Colleen Hoover. While there is an impressive fan-base for her books, there is also a segment that showcases evident distaste for some of her work, classifying it as overrated. Either way, all readers agree that Colleen Hoover’s mind works in ways no one can even fathom to decipher.
Here are four of her best works (based on author preference) that will have you stuck to the book until you finish it
1/ Reminders of Him
A tearjerker romance narrating the story of a young mother seeking redemption in the attempt to unite with her four-year-old daughter after a series of tragic events. This story is raw and compassionate with an abundance of emotion and semi-predictable plotlines providing the entire package of what one may look for in a well-written romance novel While it is not cliché, it is an uptake on traditional story-telling with a little bit of CoHo magic to provide the ideal experience of an emotional story.
2/ Confess
Whilst this is seemingly underrated in comparison to some of Hoover’s other works, Confess is an embodiment of magic weaved through art and the power of words. It is a heart-wrenching story of risks and belief, following a dual POV of 21 year olds Owen and Auburn who find themselves entangled in the maze of twisted fate. This one is simply “unputdownable” and a definite must-read!

If you are familiar with Colleen Hoover, you know what her plot twists are like. This particular story is made up of twists and unpredictable turns that overwhelm you with emotion. It is an unforgettable love story of a writer and his muse venturing through the labyrinth their life becomes, in order to find themselves. It is a unique story with an interesting premise and is sure to keep you hooked until the very last page.
4/ Verity
Fair warning – you will lose your mind!
Verity is a cleverly written dark romance thriller about a struggling writer who accepts a job offer from the husband of Verity Crawford, an award winning author. Little does she know that her life is about to turn upside down with the revelation of dark secrets hidden in the depth of Verity’s home. This story is a whirlwind of little aspects that form a bigger picture, sucking you into the story in a state where it becomes impossible to close the book without finishing it.
