Randy Valpy, general manager of Furkin Pet Insurance, spoke about the initiation of the company. He said, “These two trends told us that it was time for a fresh new option for pet owners, and Furkin Pet Insurance is the result”. Valpy detailed the benefits of the pet insurance. He said, “With Furkin, pet owners can use their benefits to help their pet rebound from one single condition, or applied towards multiple illnesses or accidents, as they arise. It’s coverage that can remain in place for the entire lifetime of the pet.”
Furkin’s insurance has no per-condition limits and lifetime limits on any eligible conditions. Furkin announced that the customers will have access to Telehealth support for their pets, and also will be given access to a dynamic mobile application called Petriage, apart from insurance coverage. Petriage is an app that offers applicable information on the pet’s health to their pet owners, while Telehealth support is a round the clock telephone service that connects pet owners with veterinary nurses. Furkin said in a press release that it has plans to expand to the United States in the near future.
