Mumbai, India (CWBN)_ Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recently appeared on the list of the top 100 in an architecture journal and also won a trophy for her profession as an interior decorator. She thanked everyone saying that she is pleased to be a part of this honor. She took to Twitter to share the happy news. Tagging the magazine, she tweeted, “I am thrilled to be a part of the AD100 list, and to receive this trophy! Thank you”. Wishes poured in from Friends and fans of Gauri Khan for her accomplishment.
A special and a surprising humorous remark came over from her partner and superstar, Shah Rukh Khan. SRK added a touch of self-deprecating humor by posting Gauri’s tweet and wrote: “Chalo ghar mein kisi ko toh award mil rahein hain (at least someone in our family is having an award).” To note, Shah Rukh Khan has an excellent array of awards, with the list starting from his Padma Shri award which he won in 2005 and 15 Filmfare Awards in total. He also won prestigious foreign awards such as ‘Officer Dan Ordre Arts et des Lettres’ and other honorable awards throughout his decades of career in Bollywood.
Gauri Khan is a multitalented woman and owns numerous credits as an interior decorator. Being an interior decorator by profession, she runs Mumbai’s plush Gauri Khan Creations. Over the years of her career, she has interior designed many restaurants in suburban Mumbai and also many celebrity residences. For the residencies of some Bollywood top actors such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar and others, Gauri Khan has done best interior decorations. Some of her best performances include Restaurants like Arth and Sanchos that have been crafted by her. She also modeled the vanity van for Alia Bhatt.
In 1991, just a year before SRK made his Bollywood debut with the 1992 film Deewana, SRK and Gauri got married. The celebrity couple have three children named, Aryan, the elder son who is 23; Suhana, daughter who is 20; and AbRam, the youngest son who is 7 now. AbRam resides in Mumbai with his parents, and Aryan and Suhana are continuing their higher education abroad.
