With everything that has been going on with the pandemic there is only one thing that the world has to understand: the new normal is here to stay. What was normal before the pandemic is now not an option. Even though there are people working around the clock to try and bring back some kind of normalcy back into our lives it will be a little while till we have are fully able to walk around without sanitizing every few minutes or not wear a mask.
There were many things that got affected by this pandemic and one of them was all outdoor activities which meant all sports. Major tournaments and leagues had to be postponed or cancelled till it was safe for the players and spectators. Golf was one of those sports. The Australia golf open wen missing with Covid happening and now it’s making a comeback and everyone seems very excited about it. Australia’s national golf open will return in November, having been cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, governing body Golf Australia.
The tournament is set to take place The Australian Golf Club in Sydney from Nov. 25. Golf Australia boss James Sutherland said in a statement. “It was tough for all involved to miss out last year, particularly for players without their national championship on offer and for fans who simply want to see the best golf has to offer, So we’re thrilled to have the support of our stakeholders to be able to bring the championship to life once more, particularly at The Australian for a record 22nd time.”
The Australian Open’s 2020 edition was originally scheduled for Melbourne’s Kingston Heath last November, then postponed to February this year before finally cancelled. First held in 1904, it was the first time the event had not been staged outside the two World Wars. Local player Matt Jones won the 2019 tournament, adding to his 2015 title.
