Here’s Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Were Asked to Evacuate Their Californie Home!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reside in the elite Montecito, also known as the celebrity enclave. The coastal town is home to many other celebrity personalities such as popular talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey. The town received immediate orders of evacuation due to the brutal California storm.

The land is already sodden with heavy rains that have continued over the past few days, and is on the brink of major destruction as weather experts warn rainwater collection to go up to 20 centimetres (8 inches).

The hard-hitting storm has put the beautiful elite town of Montecito in high risk of debris and water flow which may potentially destroy the luxury celebrity homes. These properties are particularly at risk because they’re situated at the foot of a mountain range which was ravaged by fire a couple of years ago. With the absence of trees and other vegetation that holds the soil together, the treacherous rain may cause severe flooding and landslides.

The evacuation warning came after the brutal California storm had already killed 12 people and caused immense destruction in the Golden State. The storm itself was followed by months of extreme droughts in the state.

Scientists claim that these extreme weather conditions are a result of human activity that causes climate change. The fact that such heavy downpours occur during droughts is a clash of two severe weather conditions that intersect as a consequence of climate change.

The storms started on New Year’s eve, with heavy downpour leaving the ground waterlogged. Despite the constant showers, the droughts aren’t reversed as the clash of two severe weather conditions leaves homes without power and the risk of destruction.

The star-studded celebrity enclave is now in high risk of being destroyed by the storm as downpours continue to batter the soil in Montecito.
