How much land does LML acquire in Haryana to manufacture e- scooters ?

India (Commonwealth) _ The automaker, LML has purchased property in Haryana for its next innovative electric vehicle manufacturing park, which will mainly cater to electric scooters. Conveniently located on the main route from Gurgaon to Alwar, right off the Delhi Mumbai Expressway, this prime position is only 65 minutes’ drive from Delhi’s busy heart, Rajiv Chowk. The goal of this park is to revolutionize the EV manufacturing scene by bringing together innovation, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable practices under one roof. LML said in a statement that the industrial park will be exclusively used for its forthcoming e-scooters.

Early in 2022, LML and Saera Electric Auto, a former Harley Davidson manufacturing partner in India, established a strategic alliance that allowed LML to produce its electric two-wheelers. An important turning point for LML has been the purchase of land in Haryana, which has encouraged expansion and cooperation within the EV ecosystem.

The excitement in announcing the purchase of this site in Haryana was expressed by Yogesh Bhatia, Managing Director and CEO of LML, as it would act as the cornerstone of our planned EV industrial park. With this development, LML hopes to collaborate with like-minded groups and hasten India’s transition to electric transportation. There will be a skill development facility in the industrial park. .. With the guarantee of acceptance into LML on the basis of merit, this facility seeks to teach young people in the area in EV technology. According to Bhatia, LML is excited to build an ecosystem that fosters economic development, sustainability, and creativity.

The Deputy Commissioner of Nuh, Haryana, Dhirendra Khadgata, complimented LML on their outstanding achievement. He emphasized the advantages for the area, pointing out that the state of Haryana’s Electric Vehicle Industrial Park creates many job possibilities for trained personnel while also having a positive economic and environmental impact. We are excited to collaborate with LML to further our vision of a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly future.

LML intends to extend an invitation to prospective partners and auxiliary unit partners to join them on this life-changing adventure. These partners will find the industrial park to be a favorable place to set up their component production facilities, which will greatly aid LML’s future e-vehicles.

By deliberately locating an EV industrial park in Haryana, LML hopes to take use of the rich talent pool and strong infrastructure in the area, becoming a center for environmentally friendly transportation options. According to an official statement made by the firm, this strategic location will allow LML to dramatically improve manufacturing efficiency, optimize supply chains, and simplify operations.

Initially, in the 1980s, Lohia Machines Ltd (LML) collaborated with Piaggio of Italy to market the LML Vespa scooter in India. But after its relationship with Piaggio broke down in 1999 and other attempts at a comeback failed, including the introduction of bikes through a collaboration with South Korea’s Daelim Motor, the company entered bankruptcy and had to close its doors in 2018. After the model was acquired by SG Corporate Mobility, a company that has experimented with client electronics and, most recently, electrical two-wheelers, it is now returning in a whole new electrical guise.

It will be quicker to produce the two-wheelers if Harley’s former Manesar, Haryana, production facility—which is currently owned by Saera Electric Auto, which also produces Mayuri e-rickshaws—is used.

The CEO of SG Corporate Mobility, Yogesh Bhatia, who also oversees the LML Electric model, said that the business would initially showcase its products later this month before starting to market them in January. We are considering three goods for the first run. These would be an e-scooter, an ebike, and a hyperbike with pedal assistance. According to Bhatia, our products will begin to be sold by the first quarter of 2023 and will be marketed not just in India but also in Europe and other international markets.
