AFRICA ( Commonwealth Union) _ On April 26, 2023, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations declared that it had renewed its training partnership agreement with the Italian police. The agency would be able to share top strategies for battling terrorism thanks to the relationship.

During his first meeting with the directors of Italy’s state security organs, Director of Criminal Investigations Mohammed Amin signed the contract.

Amin is visiting Italy on business.

He mentioned that the Kenyan officers would also be trained in information-sharing and anti-drug trafficking measures. The Central Directorate Director Diego Parente, General and International Affairs Director Dr. Emilo Russo, General Director Anti-Narcotics Antonino Maggiore, General Gianfranco Scafuri, and General Nicola De Benedictis among others welcomed Amin, who was visiting Italy for the first time in his capacity as the head of the DCI.

The Italian delegation commended Kenya’s DCI for its tenacity in eradicating organized crime, stating that Kenya was fast turning into an untenable place for criminal networks. The DCI detectives will also receive training from the Italian security chiefs on how to combat international organized crime. The program, according to the DCI, aims to share best practices and strengthen cooperation in police training, information sharing, counterterrorism, anti-drug trafficking, and reducing transnational organized crime.

The director of anti-narcotics, Margaret Karanja, the director of the anti-terrorism police unit, Johnstone Kola, and his personal assistant, Lawrence Some, were with the DCI head. Trafficking in illegal drugs has always been a serious problem in the area. One of the main centers for the trafficking of drugs into Europe is Kenya. Locally, despite initiatives to address the issue, many people are suffering as a result of the dangers of usage.

In conclusion the DCI detectives will also receive training from the Italian security chiefs on how to combat international organized crime and also trafficking in illegal drugs has always been a serious problem in the area.

For absolute clarity:
• We do not recruit through unsolicited WhatsApp, Telegram, or social-media messages.
• We do not pay individuals to create or post TikTok videos.
• We do not ask anyone to deposit money to “activate” an account, unlock earnings, or participate in any investment programme.

Do not send money or provide personal information under any circumstances.

These criminal actors are deliberately misappropriating our name, as well as those of other unaware Companies, forging documents and certificates, and unlawfully reproducing our branding in order to operate completely fraudulent social media promoter and cryptocurrency investment schemes.
