Kisii County assembly has taken the place as the fourth to pass the Building Bridges Bill just a few hours after Homa Bay county passed the Bill. The Building Bridges Bill (BBI) in a constitutional amendment bill.

The BBI is ideally a bill that will give the Kenyan people transparency when it comes to the problems the country is facing and the politicians should have answers for the people with whatever questions this transparency bill will bring. A fare few of the counties in Kenya are passing this bill so that the people will not be left in the dark to the situations the country is facing.

Kisumu County took second place in passing the pill and Siaya County followed suit a few days later and passed the bill as well. It is stated that for the bill be passed in the Kenyan parliament there would need to be at least 24 counties that accept it and pass it.

Not all the counties are accepting and passing this bill as Baringo County was the first to publicly reject the bill without participation and the Turkana County had shown no interest in the acceptance or the passing of the bill and will reject it as well.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati presented the draft Bill to the counties for discussion on January 26, 2021.
