USA (Commonwealth Union)_ Neena Singh has etched her name in history as she assumed the role of the first Sikh and Indian American woman to serve as the mayor of Montgomery Township in New Jersey.
This landmark achievement was celebrated during the Township Committee’s reorganization meeting, where Neena Singh expressed the historic significance of the moment for both the local community and the entire state. Her inauguration, officiated by Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, marked a pivotal moment for Montgomery Township, where Singh, a resident for 24 years, garnered unanimous support from her Township Committee colleagues for her new mayoral position.
