Traditional Methods of Recombinant Protein Production Historically, recombinant protein production has relied on bacterial, yeast, insect, and mammalian cell systems. As studies into this area take place scientists are working on improving CHO cell lines and production processes to try and resolve the restrictions as well as further make improvements to their capabilities.
