The Joe Rogan Experience is, or was, rather considered to be the most listened to podcast in the United States. However, The Duchess of Sussex has conquered the Spotify charts with her podcast “Archetypes” hitting Number 1 in six markets including the United States and the United Kingdom.

The podcast obtained rapid fame when the first episode was released last Tuesday being an instant hit in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

The first episode featured recently retired tennis player Serena Williams where the duo had an important discussion about the double standards faced by women in their fields of career, and especially when they are ambitious in what they do.

It is no secret that Meghan Markle herself is a trailblazer, having risen up to each challenge and faced it with extreme bravado. In addition to being a wonderful actress, she is also an advocate for mental health, having stood up for her own. She is also an activist in protesting for women’s rights, working towards providing a platform for all women to shine.

Her podcast aims to speak to women, about women and the “Archetypes” they face when they want to do something of their own and create an identity for themselves. As such, her first episode also contained an interesting chat with Dr. Laura Kray who is a leading expert on gender in the workplace. The discussion spoke about women in corporate and creative fields who are affected by double standards and unfair gender criticism.

Markle’s next episode of her podcast will feature a discussion between herself and Mariah Carey and we cannot wait until it’s release!
