Canadian supreme court justice has stepped down from his chair, amid judicial conduct review, informed by the Canadian justice council.

In January, justice Russel Brown at an Arizona resort, allegedly had a drunken altercation involving harassment of a female guest. The allegations were denied by Mr. Brown.

The incident had taken place at the Luxury omni-Scottsdale resort and spa at Montelucia. Different accounts of the incident were recorded.

A US marine Corps veteran indicated that a female guest was touched by Mr. Brown without her consent.  During an argument he later punched Mr. Brown “a few times”. Stated in a police report file.

The 31-year-old mortgage adviser and US army veteran. Jonathan Trump informed Vancouver Sun, that his friend was harassed by the judge in the resort bar. Mr. Trump informed that he was irritated by the judge’s boastful behavior as he had followed the group back to their room.

The statement released by Mr. Brown saying that due to the false statement by Mr. Jonathan Trump in the media, he is compelled to respond. Certain parts of Mr. trump’s account were confirmed however, he informed that he did not engage or speak with him. Although he did join the group at the table. The complain was reviewed by the CJC, into the alleged conduct of justice Brown. The statement indicated the council’s jurisdiction over the complain against Mr. Brown had ended as he was no longer a judge. The proceeding that involved justice Brown have come to an end.

Mr. Brown’s lawyer Brian Gover, contacted by the BBC news shared a statement from the judge, informing that the allegations are “false” and the issue would be dispensed quickly. However, far from the actual case.

Mr. Browns lawyers Brian Gover and Alexandra Heine, wrote that they are extremely disappointed that the complainant’s unchallenged accusations were put out to the public, and the first time over a misconduct claim Canadian justice has stepped down.

Mr. Brown request a delay to the public hearing into the allegations, to weigh his options.
