New South Whale’s best dog-friendly hiking trails

-

AUSTRALIA (Commonwealth Union)_ It goes without saying that most dogs like going on walks. Your dog has a lot of energy to expend, and frequent walks are an excellent way to keep them (and yourself) in shape! You can make your stroll more challenging and enjoyable by using our list of dog-friendly treks.

Enjoy some of New South Whale’s most stunning terrains with these dog-friendly hiking paths, stay active, and guarantee that your pet will be pooped by the end of the day.

Unfortunately, many of Australia’s most stunning hiking paths can be found within places that do not allow dogs. Most national parks in Australia forbid dogs from entering, even if on a leash. In NSW, for example, there are no national parks that accept dogs. Only a handful of national parks in other states allow pets.

That being said, you can still locate paths in NSW that are pet-friendly and just as lovely.

Abraham Bosom Track

The Abraham Bosom Track is a 9-kilometer moderate-difficulty trail. While a leash is needed throughout the walk, beachgoers will enjoy the spectacular ocean vistas as they wind their way around.

There are several great places to pause for some water play, and you and your dog may visit the shipwrecked S.S. Merimbula, which has its own access trail. Abraham Bosom has a variety of trails, each with a different level of difficulty and scenery. This is the hike for you if you want to spend some time at Sydney’s greatest distant dog-friendly beaches.

Minnehaha Falls

Minnehaha Falls, a 1.5km return journey that your dog can explore on a leash alongside you, is a good option for something a little shorter. You and your dog may connect with nature via wide dirt trails, waterfalls, and natural pools in Katoomba.

This is a difficult walk at points, but there are plenty of places to rest and play or swim. A ride on the rope swing beside the watering hole is also recommended.

Narrabeen Lagoon Bush Trail

The Narrabeen Lagoon Bush Trail is only for the fit! This 8.4km round route necessitates the use of a leash at all times, although it is also appropriate for cycling. You’ll see some lovely landscapes, such as woodlands, a lake, and many of birds.

The relaxed hike is a lot of fun and one of the best dog hiking trails. If you need to cool off, swimming in the lake is strongly advised.

Clovelly to Maroubra

The 7-kilometer trek from Clovelly to Maroubra is relatively easy. It even includes a number of areas where your dog can run around unrestrained.

There will be a lot of dogs on this walk, so anyone want to socialise their dog will find plenty of prospective pals. There are numerous beach stops along the path, including Bronte, Coogee, and Gordon’s Bay, and it is also rather easy to deviate from the path for some local ice cream.

Two Creeks Track

Two Creeks Track is a 6.1km intermediate level hike that is ideal for dogs on a leash. There’s plenty to see and do, such as rocky waterfalls, vast grassy clearings, Echo Point Park (and more). The sandstone caves are a must-see for dog-friendly hiking routes, and you can also stop for a snack/treat at the picnic area.
