Aviation and Airlines (Commonwealth Union) _ The recently launched all-cargo airline, One Air, has successfully completed its first Boeing 747-400 freighter flight from China to the United Kingdom. The inaugural flight operated as a full charter for its client, Shandong Glory, with a 100-tonne payload arriving at London Heathrow from Jinan-Shandong.

Chris Hope, the Chief Operating Officer of One Air, expressed his excitement about the milestone and the team’s efforts to prepare for the successful launch after receiving their Air Operator Certificate from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. In addition to ad hoc charter flights, the airline will now begin a regular flying program, with two 747F flights per week from Asia Pacific to Europe. Plans are also in motion to introduce a second 747F to the fleet in the early part of the fourth quarter.

One Air envisions a steady demand for its services from the UK to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with routes to China and the US to be added in the future.

Paul Bennett, CEO of One Air, expressed pride in operating their first customer flight, signaling the start of their strategic development plan to establish a strong reputation in prime air cargo markets worldwide.

As the only UK operator of the Boeing 747 with its dry leased B747-400SF, One Air has assembled a team of over 100 aviation and air cargo specialists at their headquarters near London Heathrow in preparation for operations.

Jacky Wu, General Manager of Shandong Glory, conveyed his pleasure in sharing this milestone with One Air, praising the highly efficient operation and customer experience during the flight from China. He expressed well-wishes for One Air’s success as they carve their place in the global cargo market.
