Pakistan Navy saves nine Indian sailors drowning in the Arabian Sea!

Islamabad, Pakistan (CU)_ According to the statement from the Director-General of Public Relations (Navy), the Pakistan Navy rescued nine Indian sailors whose ship sank in the Arabian Sea near Gwadar. According to the statement, the Indian sailing ship named “Jamna Sagar” sank in the Arabian sea with ten crew members on board.

The Pakistan Navy immediately replied to a distress call as the vessel was sinking, and the Pakistan Maritime Information Center ordered the neighboring commercial ship “MT KRUIBEKE” to aid the stranded crew of the sinking sailing vessel. The statement added, “The merchant ship eventually recovered nine crew members and continued the voyage to its next port Dubai and onward disembarked the crew”.

Simultaneously, a Pakistan Navy ship and two helicopters reached the region and found the body of a crew member who had been missing at the time of the sinking of the sailing vessel. The corpse was retrieved and surrendered to the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) officials for further investigation. Previously, a Chinese citizen was also rescued safely with the assistance of local fishermen and the PMSA.

According to a statement released by the PMSA, the agency’s Sadaqat base got a distress call from local fishermen a day earlier, where they reported seeing a guy. The Chinese sailor was eventually identified as Zuo Xiang Wei, who was spotted drowning near Phitti Creek by local fishermen. The rescued Chinese sailor received initial care at the PMSA base in Ibrahim Hydri before being moved to the organization’s headquarters for a thorough medical examination. The agency has also confirmed that the person fell off the Cosco Shipping vessel “Xin Shang Hai (IMO 9307231)” in Karachi harbor earlier that day.
