Pneumonia Detection Devices to be Tested in 60 Kenyan Hospitals

Nairobi, Kenya (CU)_ The counties of Kakamega, Kitui, and Uasin Gishu have been chosen to investigate the use of pulse oximeters (POX) in the identification of pneumonia in kids under the age of five. According to Andrew Mulwa, the acting Director of Medical Services, Preventive and Promotive Health, the initiative will include 20 health institutions from each of the three counties. Training on how to utilize the devices will be provided to the healthcare personnel at the chosen institutions.
