Accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu, President Ruto engaged with the Kenyan diaspora and held constructive discussions with Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo.

During his visit, President Ruto emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to bolster democratic governance across Africa, underscoring Kenya’s commitment to regional stability and progress. The discussions also delved into enhancing trade ties, with a specific focus on leveraging opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.

Their deliberations highlighted the urgent need for collaborative efforts to address climate challenges and accelerate sustainable development in Africa. By emphasizing initiatives like AGII, the leaders underscored their commitment to fostering green economies and mitigating the impacts of climate change on the continent’s people and ecosystems. The discussions also emphasized the importance of international cooperation and shared responsibility in combating climate change and achieving the goals outlined in global agreements such as the Paris Agreement.
