Sheraton Turtle Beach Resort Kosgoda turns four in February

-

Hotels (Commonwealth Union) _ The ‘Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort’ is gearing up to celebrate its fourth anniversary on February 20, anticipating the best festive season since its launch.

Launched nearly four years ago with the aim of bringing a globally acclaimed five-star experience to the area, the hotel faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic crisis. However, with the appointment of new General Manager Mano Gunasekera and the recent resurgence in tourism, the hotel is now experiencing high occupancies and impressive forward bookings.

Gunasekera noted that 2023 is expected to be the best year for the hotel, with extensive marketing efforts through their global chain and marketing companies attracting high-end clientele. The hotel has also seen around 20% walk-in guests, and with the increasing numbers, they aim to end 2024 with approximately 70% occupancy.

To conclude 2023 on a high note, the management has curated a special 31-night package for the year-end celebration, featuring the Omega band. The hotel has added new features to make the night unforgettable, and Executive Chef Romesh Kularatnam has created a variety of wining and dining options for the 31st-night buffet.

With 172 rooms, including a 2 Bedroom Presidential Suite, a bedroom, and 10 other suites, along with 11 rooms featuring plunge pools and other luxury rooms overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort offers a range of amenities. These include two swimming pools, a spa, fitness center, kids activity center, several indoor and outdoor restaurants and lounges, and a large garden area spread across 6 acres.

It’s wonderful that the hotel not only offers a comfortable stay but also provides opportunities for guests to explore and enjoy the rich cultural and natural attractions in the surrounding area. From conferences to weddings and excursions, it seems like they’ve curated a diverse range of experiences for their guests. Do you have any favorite places to visit when you stay at hotels?
