Chennai (Commonwealth Union)_ Samantha Ruth Prabhu and director Raj Nidimoru have entered a new chapter in their lives as the duo married in a peaceful and spiritual wedding on December 1, 2025. The wedding was held on the peaceful Isha Foundation site in Coimbatore, reflecting the couple’s mutual desire for simplicity, solitude, and meaningful customs. The event followed the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha tradition, which is a unique yogic wedding ceremony conducted in the Linga Bhairavi Devi temple within the Isha Yoga Centre.

Performed at sunrise, the ritual is meant to purify the five elements within each partner and create a bond that goes beyond emotion or physical connection. Only close family members and a small circle of friends were present. Samantha shared some pictures from her event on Monday morning; she only mentioned “01/12/2025” in her post description. The pictures provide a little insight into what the couple celebrated together. In one picture, we can see the couple exchanging their wedding rings while both are flashing a smile at each other. In another photo, they are seated next to each other, wearing traditional clothing and participating in a private puja together. A group picture shows the newlyweds surrounded by loved ones in the softly lit setting.

Other photographs showed the ceremonial settings used for the rites. Turmeric-coated coconuts, trays of kumkum, fresh flowers, betel leaves, and carefully folded fabric pieces were scattered about the sanctuary, adding to the peaceful ambience. Another photograph showed the decorated God deity in the middle of the celebration, dressed with garlands and surrounded by symbolic gifts. Samantha wore a traditional red silk saree by designer Arpita Mehta, described as a bespoke handwoven Banarasi item made of pure Katan satin silk. She kept her appearance simple, with nude-toned lips and kohl-lined eyes. Raj wore a silk ensemble designed by Tarun Tahiliani, featuring a quilted chevron-patterned bundi paired with a handwoven kurta and churidar.

The Isha Foundation later confirmed that the couple had indeed taken part in a Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony, calling the gathering “small and heartfelt.” Wishes poured in from across the film industry soon after the wedding photos appeared online. Celebrities including Kajal Aggarwal, Malavika Mohanan, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and many others congratulated the couple warmly. Both Samantha and Raj have previously been married. Rumors of their relationship surfaced earlier this year, sparked by their frequent appearances together and posts shared on social media.
