(Commonwealth Union) – There are many studies done in the wake of this climate crisis that the world is going through right now. The reason for these studies is so that we can find a reasonable solution to this climate problem. Many countries have started to use more ecofriendly methods of travel such as electric cars or biking.

It should be said that electric cars are no longer cheap and biking looks like the most sustainable and ecofriendly way to travel. There was a study that was done in Germany and it concluded that the German people have made the climate their biggest motivator and have started using cycling as a method of transport.

This has helped the country in reducing the usage of gas for vehicles as well as put a dent in their carbon foot print. Of course, 65% of the people interviewed stated that there are future generations they are leaving the earth to and they to deserve to live and experience the wonders the world has to offer just as much as the present generations as well as the past.

There was also a huge number of people who stated that they will fly only if required and if it were short distances other methods of transport will be looked into. Apart from the climate there is also the fact that its now 9 euro for a metro ticket and the rising cost of fuel does help and motivate in making more eco friendly travel decision. The government of Germany is working around the clock to bring in transport policies that will soften the blows of the ticket prices rising and the fuel rates rising. But so far nothing seems to be helping.

The German people are also encouraging tourist to make more ecofriendly decision such as bike tours and foot tours. To use cabs and coaches only when really needed. This seems to be the new trend and let’s hope more people get on board.
