Study finds excessive digital media usage incompatible with parenting

Across the world particularly in countries where lockdowns were imposed the consumption of on-line videos, social media interactions and other digital engagements rapidly increased due to the lack of options.

Dillon Browne, Canada Research Chair in Child and Family Clinical Psychology and professor of psychology who co-authored the study predicts the pattern to continue further emphasized the need to monitor these effects as there related to both well-being and distress. The researchers plan to further advance the study with to provide a design for caregivers to better manage their screen-based behavior’s.
