Ontario, Canada (CU)_ For more than four decades, Roche Diabetes Care has been a leader in developing cutting-edge diabetes solutions and services. Over 5,500 staff in more than 100 markets across the world are working to help diabetic patients and the ones at risk to stay in their target ranges for longer and find meaningful relief from their daily therapeutic routines. Roche Diabetes Care Canada is delighted to announce that it has obtained approval from Health Canada for the Accu-Chek Guide Link blood glucose meter, which is the new introduction from Roche Diabetes Care that supports type 1 diabetic patients in Canada to better manage their health and daily therapy routines.

This modern blood glucose meter works solely with the Medtronic MiniMedTM 770G insulin pump system, which is Canada’s only insulin pump system that provides adaptive basal insulin delivery every 5 minutes to all patients above two years old, and supports smartphone connectivity as well. Through a smartphone-connected pump system,  patients and caregivers can see glucose and insulin data remotely on their smartphone and can automatically share the details with their healthcare provider to improve diabetes management. The meter’s accurate test results are wirelessly delivered to the pump system for quick sensor calibration and insulin level changes.
