Commonwealth_ AeroGrid, a drone charging start-up based in Hertfordshire, has entered into an agreement with West Northamptonshire Council to explore the establishment of drone charging infrastructure across the region. The two parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will focus on identifying suitable locations within the council’s property portfolio for the installation of drone charging points. The initiative aims to position West Northamptonshire as a key hub for the emerging commercial drone transport industry, particularly in relation to drone deliveries and other drone-based services.
The potential locations for the drone charging infrastructure include a variety of sites across the council’s land, such as the rooftops of council-owned buildings, open fields, and other public spaces.
