Male, Maldives (CU)_ The Maldives and Bangladesh governments have convened the first round of Bilateral Political Consultations. The consultations were held in accordance with the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding on the ‘Establishment of Bilateral Consultations’ which was signed earlier this year between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Maldives Foreign Secretary Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed and Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.

Both foreign secretaries discussed the long history of strong relations between the two nations, which have so far progressed to considerably greater heights.
