India (Commonwealth Union)_ Recognizing the accomplishments of Indian Americans in the United States, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated their pivotal role in strengthening the inclusive society and economy of the country. During his speech at the State Dinner hosted at the White House, PM Modi expressed admiration for the progress made by Indian Americans and their respectful place in America’s diverse society. He also extended gratitude to US President Joe Biden for hosting a wonderful dinner and for ensuring the success of his visit.
PM Modi said, “Indian Americans have come a long way in the USA and have always had a respectful place in America’s Melting Pot. They have played a pivotal role in further strengthening the inclusive society as well as the economy of the USA.” PM Modi also expressed his appreciation for the presence of the distinguished guests from both countries, referring to them as his most precious assets. He highlighted the special nature of the evening, where the two nations come together, and expressed hope that any previous challenges faced by attendees had been resolved, ensuring a memorable gathering.
Further, PM Modi requested that President Biden join him for a toast, raising a glass to their gracious hosts and toasting to good health, prosperity, the pursuit of happiness, liberty, equality, and the enduring bonds of friendship between India and the United States. PM Modi said, “There is one more thing left to do tonight. Please join me in raising a toast. A toast to our wonderful hosts, President Biden and Jill Biden.” Earlier, President Biden revealed his joy in hosting PM Modi during the official State dinner held at the White House, highlighting the celebration of the strong friendship between the two nations.
In his address during the State Dinner, President Biden highlighted the productive nature of their meeting and expressed gratitude for the time spent together. He said, “Jill and I have had the best time with the Indian Prime Minister today, during your truly productive visit. Tonight, we commemorate the deep bonds of friendship between India and the United States.” The leaders then raised a toast to the success of their meeting and the enduring bonds between India and the United States.
