The storm has not yet passed in Queensland despite flood waters receding in Maryborough

MARYBOROUGH (CU)_Heavy rain caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth caused major flooding in the state of Queensland over the weekend, with the Mary River peaking just under 10 metres from which an emergency levee bank erected was unable to protect the town of Maryborough. In the rural locality of Kanigan, one man died after driving into flood water, while a search is underway for a missing girl who was swept away near Gympie on Saturday.

Now, as flood waters are slowly receding, Queensland authorities are on the watch for a category one cyclone crossing…
