(Commonwealth) _ Southern Manufacturing & Electronics takes place from February 7 to 9 at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre in Hampshire, and it aims to be the largest event in its 25-year existence. The event brings together an astonishing diversity of worldwide suppliers, including major multinational machinery and hardware manufacturers, components, manufacturing equipment, sophisticated materials, consumables, and every form of subcontract engineering service, from PCB manufacture to precision engineering. Everything you need to run a leaner, greener, quicker, and smarter business can be found at one exhibition.

Hundreds of top exhibitors will be eager to show you how to change your business at the 20,000m2 Farnborough International Exhibition Centre. Not only that, but the show’s superb free technical lecture program allows you to alter your understanding of the challenges confronting the industrial sector today, from innovative materials to life after Brexit. An extraordinary lineup of top technologists and subject matter experts is ready to equip you with the tools you’ll need to tackle the difficulties that await you in the next year. The sessions are available to all guests and registration is free.

Visitors may expect to observe automation equipment, electronics manufacturing and assembly plants, mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other components, business and engineering software, and workshop equipment. Subcontracting service providers from across the UK and beyond who specialize in the producers of metallic and plastic machined parts and sheet metalworking will promote their enterprises alongside those offering electrical technical support, electronics assembly, finishing, test and inspection, or other services. All will discuss how they can assist industrial enterprises in maintaining pace and profitability through 2023, despite the well-publicized difficulties they are facing.

Blum Novotest, a developer of the in metrology solutions for the machine tools industry, Carfulan Group companies OGP UK and VICIVISION UK, Central Tracking UK (part of the Zeiss/GOM “HandsOnMetrology” network), and Status Metrology Solutions are all involved in the inspection, measuring, testing, and quality control sector. They will educate guests on the most recent quality control technology available. Industrial Tooling Corporation, Lehmann Rotary Tables from Switzerland, and Walther Trowal, a global supplier of metal surface treatment and finishing equipment to the industrial industry, will also be present. Southern Industries & Electronics 2023 is free to attend, with free on-site parking and a free shuttle bus linking both Farnborough train stations to the show.

Many of these firms provide their own automation and process control solutions, but other console exhibitors will highlight their knowledge. For example, APEM has been a prominent manufacturer of interacting components since 1952. It designs and manufactures products for a wide range of industries, including instrumentation, medical, telecommunications, factory automation, defense, and transportation. INDUS Engineering provides industrial clients with electrical, mechanical, and automation services, specializing in the design, production, and installation of customised factory automation and control systems.

Hundreds of firms are anticipated to attend the exhibition, which is projected to be a sell-out due to the rate at which stand bookings are now being received by the organizers. The event, like in previous years, is divided almost evenly between electronics and mechanical engineering. The vast range of participants is a key aspect of the event, making it easier for customers to locate exactly what they are seeking for and complete several procurements in a single visit.

Surprisingly, despite the diversity of the industries and technology, there are no barriers between them, allowing for cross-pollination. Many of the hundreds of visitors polled feel it is a very helpful aspect of the exhibition since it develops a positive attitude.
