AUSTRALIA (Commonwealth Union) – Around the world with everything that has been going on all the countries are taking extreme measure to make sure things are safer for their citizens and foreign visitors. However, the one thing that will still continue to receive proper funding regardless to any outside situation is the education sector in Australia.
The Australian government spends close to billions in the education sector. Apart from the education sector, the government also spends on their health sector as well as the disaster management sector. The third one was new considering what Australia and the rest of the world is going through with the pandemic and the climate change.
The Australian tax money goes straight to education. Schools are given the money to spend on extra curriculums as well as school cafeteria to make sure that the children have healthy food to eat when in school. School lunches are provided for children in many schools free of charge. This is because there are some children who cannot afford to bring lunch every day, or children who are in the system who don’t have the luxury of having a packed lunch.
The education system in Australia has been flourishing with more young people staying in school because of the added extras and them being be free. More young ones are growing their interests which is what the government was hoping to cultivate. This makes a difference in the future of the country.
The government is also giving the funding because of the pandemic situation. Children need to be kept in safe environments and made sure that they don’t contract the virus, causing another wave. The government wants to keep their youth in school so that the country and its people will have brighter futures.
