ABUJA (CU)_Elections are always an exciting time for any country and its people cos it means one thing promises that are made to please the people to get elected. Most often than not these promises are wildly undoable but the people seem to have faith and leaders are elected. But there are some situations where promises made can easily be kept and this is usually a guaranteed win.

Now there are several vice-presidential candidates that have been nominated for the Abuja election of 2023. One of the candidates for the election is from the All-Progressive Party (APC) by the name of Senator Kashim Shettima. Who has stated that the party’s nominated presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be the one to make the best president as he is capable of making the best decisions for the country. Shettima is urging the people that they have the most to gain in Tinbu is elected as the next president of Nigeria.

Shettima is the immediate previous governor of the state of Borneo and had travelled to Abuja earlier this week to speak in the senate house. The Senate Press Corp has even made a special present for him in order to congratulate him on his victory of being the vie presidential candidate from the APC party.

Shettima stated with gratitude that “The task ahead of us is an onerous one; it’s a task of nation-building; it’s a task for us to coalesce into a single course and see to the realisation of the full potentials of our nation, a very young nation. The average age of the Nigerian population is 19. May God give us the wisdom with good health to come up with robust platforms of engaging multitudes of our youths who are jobless and who are hungry. We owe it to God and humanity. The Nigerian nation has been kind to us. This is payback time. I want to make my pledge and commitment to you that by God’s grace, we will serve this nation with the fear of God in equity, justice and inclusivity.”
