Travel good news from Japan

-

(Commonwealth Union) – There was a time before the pandemic took place where travel was a bliss as there were a few countries that didn’t require Visa. But then a pandemic came about and people who thrived from traveling were forced to sit at home for 2 whole years wishing life was as blissful as it was in 2019.

But there is some good news. Japan has opened its borders again and one can now travel to Japan absolutely Visa free. This travel good news comes after 2 years and 7 months and the world population seem happy to hear it. Japan shut its borders and were reluctant to open them as they did not want the virus coming in from a foreign traveller. The travel sector and tourism in Japan took a hit with this decision but it seems that it was a good call made by the government of the country as Japan is now thriving and there are hardly any COVID-19 cases found.

Starting the month of October, Japan will open its doors to visitors from a dozen or more countries from the world which surprisingly also includes South Korea.

Lee Sung Jae had a statement that was released from the Governments official press sector which stated that “From October 11th, we will lift the ceiling on the number of entrants into Japan, lift the ban on individual travel, and lift the ban on visa list travel.” This was needed for the country to also get a kick start on their tourism as Japan as a country has a lot to offer to foreign travellers.

With the visa free regulation also comes the fact the quarantine will be eased as well. The 14-day quarantine requirement will be eased if the visitors to the country have COVID vaccine cards that are up to date with the boosters also being taken as well as PCR test that are negative. Japanese government claimed that if the travellers have had the 3rd booster COVID vaccine they don’t even have to have a PCR test at all.

But of course, if the visitors only have 2 shots which is the minimum requirement or claim to be unvaccinated with this medical reason then there will be a need to make sure that they take the PCR test at the airport and do the 6-hour quarantine. They would also have to submit the PCR test requirement which is a negative test taken 72 hours before boarding the flight.
