England (Commonwealth Union)_ Ariana Dambarawa Hewage, a ten-year-old UK school student of Sri Lankan descent, has gained media attention after being labeled “smarter than Einstein” on account of her remarkable IQ. According to reports, Ariana, a resident of Huddersfield in UK, recently completed a Mensa IQ test and received a score of 162, which is considered genius level. It was said that Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking have an IQ of 160.

Ariana, a student at St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary Academy in George Avenue, aspires to become a renowned scientist one day. Recently, the schoolgirl, who enjoys reading, took admissions exams for grammar schools in West Yorkshire. Her parents were informed that she possesses an extraordinary talent after she received flooding offers from every institution she applied to. Ariana’s father Janaka Dambarawa Hewage expressed pride over her daughter. He said: “She is my genius. When she took her exams recently, we realized just how intelligent she is.”

Janaka was delighted that Ariana was enthusiastic about taking the IQ exam on his recommendation. “She passes every test easily. She loves reading, science, and is always talking to me about time traveling. The exam was about two hours,” he said. He added that at the exam, she was subjected to many tests. Some included mathematical puzzles, problem-solving, and verbal and nonverbal examinations, and it was really lengthy. He also noted that she earned a score of 162, which is only achievable by a small percentage of the population. She earned two more points than Albert Einstein.
