Ukrainian minister and top officials killed in a fatal helicopter crash

Ukrainian minister Denys Monastyrsky and top officials were among those killed in a fatal helicopter crash in Kyiv. 

The helicopter was carrying in its passenger roster a few Ukrainian officials.

It has been confirmed by Ukrainian minister Denys Monastyrsky that pit of the officials that have perished two of them were recognised top officials. Apart from the officials there have also been 3 children who lost their lives in this unseen disaster. A total of 16 people lost their lives in the crash as reported by the Ukrainian media.

The head of the Ukrainian presidential office Mikhail Podolyak stated on twitter that “Undeniable tragedy. The helicopter crash killed Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyy, MIA [ministry] leadership, children. Denys & his colleagues played a big role in ensuring Ukraine’s defence. Investigation began. All versions will be checked. Sincere condolences to the families of the victims.”

World leaders also sent their condolences through embassies as officials flooded twitter with their condolences to the council try and to the people who lost their loved ones.

There will be an investigation as to how why this crash happened and to see if  accidents like this could be prevented in the future.
