Dhaka (Commonwealth Union)_The government’s first shipment of urea fertilizer from Bangladesh has landed in this country. Around 3,400 tonnes of urea fertilizer have arrived at the AICL offices in Birgunj and Biratnagar, according to Agriculture Inputs Company Ltd (AICL).

The time for providing fertilizer for wheat and vegetables has already passed, though. The administration had previously attempted to borrow the fertilizer from the government of Bangladesh. The latter, however, declined the offer and requested that Nepal buy the fertilizer in its place.

Beginning in August of last year, the government began the process of importing fertilizer and requested a Nepali contractor to provide it for the planting of wheat and vegetables. Similar to that, he said, 21 trucks carrying 900 metric tonnes of urea had arrived in Biratnagar. According to the firm, Nepal will get 22,500 metric tonnes of fertilizer in its initial shipment. Another train carrying fertilizer also departed for Nepal on Tuesday from Kolkata, according to the business.

The business is getting ready to distribute the fertilizer through 41 locations around the nation. The train carrying 2,500 tonnes of urea arrived at the Sirsiya dry port today, according to Rajendra Karki, the company’s information officer. The firm claims that two containers containing 400 sacks totaling 20 tonnes of urea fertilizer entered the customs yard. 1,200 metric tonnes from Banepa in Kavre, 2,000 metric tonnes from Kathmandu, and 800 metric tonnes from Nuwakot would be delivered to the hilly districts out of the entire amount of imported fertilizer.
