Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Pushpa 2: The Rule has cemented its place as a monumental success in Indian cinema, with its lifetime box office collections continuing to defy expectations. Over the course of 47 days, the film has amassed an impressive ₹1228.9 crore (India net) and ₹1464.9 crore in gross collections, solidifying its status as one of the biggest blockbusters in recent years. The film’s journey at the box office began with massive numbers, as packed theatres and record-breaking collections across the country marked its early days. However, as with any film that enjoys a long run, the numbers have begun to dip gradually, especially during weekdays.

On its 47th day, the film brought in ₹0.65 crore (India net) across all languages, a significant drop from its earlier high collections. While weekends still see a slight boost with ₹1.1 crore on Saturday and ₹1.5 crore on Sunday, weekday earnings, such as Monday’s ₹65 lakh, suggest that the film’s theatrical run is nearing its conclusion. Despite the gradual decline in collections, Pushpa 2 has proven to be a box office juggernaut, due to its impressive multi-language reach. The Telugu version has been the backbone of the film’s earnings, contributing ₹339.61 crore to the overall net total. This strong performance is unsurprising, given the home-state advantage in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the film grossed ₹328.85 crore in these two regions alone.

The Hindi version, however, has been the real game-changer for the film. With ₹808.81 crore contributing to the net collection, it has proven that the Pushpa franchise has evolved into a pan-Indian phenomenon, with Allu Arjun’s star power breaking linguistic and regional barriers. This remarkable achievement underscores the growing popularity of regional cinema in Hindi-speaking markets. Additionally, Pushpa 2 also found its audience in Tamil Nadu, where the Tamil-dubbed version of the film earned ₹58.6 crore. Despite stiff competition from local releases, the film managed to generate ₹77.25 crore net in Tamil Nadu, making it a significant accomplishment for a dubbed Telugu film in the region.

In Kerala, the Malayalam version of the movie earned ₹14.15 crore, contributing to an overall Kerala total of ₹18.1 crore net. While the figures were not as high as in other regions, it still highlighted Allu Arjun’s solid fan base in the state. The Kannada version, meanwhile, garnered ₹7.77 crore, and Karnataka, while falling short of the ₹100-crore mark, brought in a respectable ₹98.22 crore net. When looking at the regional breakdown of collections, the movie has performed exceptionally well across various parts of India. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana lead the way with ₹328.85 crore, followed by the Hindi market with a staggering ₹808.81 crore. Tamil Nadu has contributed ₹77.25 crore, Kerala ₹18.1 crore, and Karnataka ₹98.22 crore, with the rest of India, driven largely by Hindi audiences, accounting for ₹942.48 crore.
The film’s recent reloaded version, released on January 17 with 20 extra minutes, did provide a temporary surge in interest, but it wasn’t enough to reignite its box office momentum significantly. Even as the movie’s collections slow down, Pushpa 2 stands as a testament to Allu Arjun’s undeniable star power and the universal appeal of the Pushpa franchise. With massive earnings in both regional and Hindi markets, the film has shattered expectations and proved that language is no barrier when the content resonates with audiences. As its theatrical run draws to a close, Pushpa 2 will undoubtedly remain a milestone in Indian cinema, both for its extraordinary box office achievements and the lasting cultural impact it has had.
