_Sri Lanka_ South Indian blockbuster actor and superstar, Rajinikanth was extended an invitation to visit Sri Lanka, by the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Dr. D Venkateshwaran during a visit to the Kollywood sensation’s residence.

The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka claimed that the veteran South Indian actor’s presence and arrival on the island would reinforce spiritual and wellness tourism in Sri Lanka as well as enrich cinema-induced tourism in the country.

Dr. D. Venkateshawaran in his request to collaborate with the South Indian celebrity to promote the island’s growing travel and tourism sector, personally invited Rajinikanth to explore the ‘Ramayana Trail’- a historically and spiritually motivated tour aimed at attracting the Indian market while bridging the cultural similarities of Sri Lanka and India. The actor was also recommended to visit other unique Buddhist sites across the island with the hopes of inspiring religious tourism to the global market.

The actor will make his latest silver-screen appearance alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah, and Ramya Krishnan in the much-anticipated action-thriller ‘Jailer’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar in 2023.
