Who is the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu?

  CM for the first time. The ceremony was attended by AIADMK Chief O Panneerselvam, leaders from alliance parties including Congress’s P Chidambaram, MDMK Chief Vaiko, and top state officials. The participants strictly followed the COVID-19 rules, which included wearing masks.

This would be M.K. Stalin’s first service as Chief Minister. His portfolio includes Public, General Administration, Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Other All India Services, District Revenue Officers, Police, Home, Special Initiatives, Special Program Implementation, and Welfare of Differently Abled Persons. On Friday, MK Stalin will officially take up the post of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

M K Stalin’s cabinet comprises 34 ministers including him. The ministers were also assigned their ministries and duties.

1. Party veteran and general secretary Duraimurugan was assigned Minister for Water Resources which includes: Irrigation Projects including small Irrigation, Legislative Assembly, Governor and Ministry, Elections and Passports, Minerals and Mines.

2. K.N. Nehru was assigned Minister for Municipal Administration which includes: Municipal Administration, Urban and Water Supply.

3. I. Periyasamy was assigned Minister for Co-operation which includes: Co-operation, Statistics and Ex-Servicemen Welfare.

4. K. Ponmudi was assigned Minister for Higher Education which includes:  Higher Education including Technical Education, Electronics, Science and Technology.

5. E.V. Velu was assigned Minister for Public Works which includes: Public Works (Buildings, Highways and Minor Ports).

6. M.R.K. Panneerselvam was assigned Minister for Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare which includes: Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agro Service Co-operatives, Horticulture, Sugarcane Excise, Sugarcane Development and Waste Land Development.

7. K.K.S.S.R Ramachandran was assigned Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management which includes: Revenue, District Revenue Establishment, Deputy Collectors, Disaster Management.

8. Thangam Thennarasu was assigned Minister for Industries which includes: Industries, Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture, Archeology.

9. S. Reghupathy was assigned Minister for Law which includes: Law, Courts, Prisons and Prevention of Corruption.
