Fiji (CU)_With Seventh Heaven’s recent official launch in the Mamanuca Group, foreign tourists now have more reasons to visit Fiji.

Since it first opened its doors in April of this year, the $4 million floating property with two expansive decks of sun loungers and an international bar and restaurant has been popular on the global market.

The current investment, according to tourism minister Faiyaz Koya, will boost the local economy and, more crucially, will support the livelihoods of 36 Fijians and numerous suppliers by generating jobs.

“As tourism stakeholders, you are architects of what us to follow for the industry,” Mr Koya said at the official opening yesterday.

“Seventh Heaven opened its doors in April and it took almost five years of hard work to make this $4m investment.

“You saw a new opportunity- you tried something new, you saw the demand and made the investment.”

“As tourism stakeholders you are architects of what is to follow for the industry,” said Mr Koya.

“To Eddy and your partners, I hope you continue to invest in your business, your staff and the service you provide.

Mr Rotteveel said Seventh Heaven Fiji was a spectacular place for both tourists and locals. He said the 6000 square feet pontoon had many wonderful features.

“To us, Seventh Heaven is simply iconic and we are delighted to showcase her to the world,” he said.

The minister claimed that one distinguishing quality of this investment was that it shared the same values upon which the sector was founded: the preservation of our pristine nature.

Eddy Rotteveel, the director of Seventh Heaven, reported that the market in Australia and New Zealand had made significant reservations for the venue through 2023.

He claimed that they were honored to be able to give jobs to 36 committed Fijians who have shown tourists the best Bula hospitality.
