They’re Twins, They’re Geniuses, and They’re Just 11—Is This the UK’s Brainiest Family?

UK (Commonwealth Union)_ In a remarkable display of intellect and ambition, British Indian twins Krish and Keira Arora have earned entry into Mensa, the world’s oldest and most prestigious high-IQ society. At just 11 years old, the siblings from Hounslow, west London, have demonstrated extraordinary cognitive abilities, placing them among the top echelon of young minds in the UK. The twins are non-identical and have displayed contrasting yet complementary talents from a young age.

Krish, who joined Mensa in November 2024, achieved an outstanding IQ score of 162 on the Cattell III B scale, a result placing him in the top 0.26 percent of children and exceeding the estimated IQs of historical geniuses such as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. Inspired by the television series Young Sheldon, Krish set his sights on Mensa early, driven by a deep love for mathematics and logic. Additionally, his twin sister Keira followed closely in his footsteps, joining Mensa in May 2025 after scoring an impressive 152 on the same scale, positioning her within the top 2 percent of the population. Her achievement reflects not only her innate intelligence but also a healthy sibling rivalry that their mother, Mauli Arora, says has fueled their mutual growth and determination.

Krish, often described as analytical and disciplined, was solving complex decimal problems by the age of four. Today, he is a math prodigy who recently secured a perfect score in his eleven-plus entrance exams and has been accepted into Queen Elizabeth’s School in Barnet, one of the UK’s leading grammar schools. In addition to academics, Krish is a Grade 8 pianist with perfect pitch, a chess enthusiast who has defeated a FIDE-rated player, and a classical music aficionado who enjoys the works of Chopin. Furthermore, Keira, the more extroverted of the two, excels in the arts. As the lead singer in her school’s pop-rock band, she captivates audiences with performances of songs like The Final Countdown and Diamonds. She is also an award-winning poet whose emotionally rich writing has been recognized in local workshops. Keira will begin her studies at the esteemed Tiffin Girls’ School in Kingston this September, with aspirations to become a commercial lawyer, an ambition rooted in her natural flair for communication and negotiation.

The twins’ achievements are supported by their parents, Mauli, an IT manager originally from Delhi, and Nischal Arora, an electronics engineer from Mumbai. The couple maintains a balanced and structured home environment, limiting screen time to just one hour per day and encouraging the children to explore both academic and creative pursuits. Krish is currently enrolled in robotics classes, while Keira is set to begin vocal training in September. As Krish and Keira prepare to transition to top-tier secondary schools, their story serves as a testament to the power of curiosity, discipline, and family support. The British Indian twins with high IQs who joined the elite Mensa club are not only making headlines for their brilliance but also for their balanced, grounded approach to excellence.
