The outfit weighs an incredible 10.5 kilos and is totally made of 24-carat gold. It is also embellished with an exquisite array of valuable stones. The masterwork, valued at over $1 million (approximately ₹9.65 crore), exemplifies Dubai’s status as a global hub for luxury and extravagance.

The dress, designed by Al Romaizan Gold, a leading Saudi jewellery brand, is composed of four main elements: a gold tiara weighing 398 grams, a statement necklace at 8,810.60 grams, earrings of 134.1 grams, and a waist ornament, known as a Hiyar, weighing 738.5 grams. Aside from its amazing weight, the gown boasts rich detailing inspired by Middle Eastern art, with motifs representing prosperity, beauty, and empowerment. The gold is embedded with brilliant diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, adding to its regal appeal.

Unveiled at the 56th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show in Sharjah, the region’s largest jewellery event, the dress earned official recognition from Guinness World Records. Industry executives from the fashion, jewelry, and luxury industries attended the special presentation, emphasizing the garment’s importance as both a piece of art and a statement of cultural history. According to its designers, the gold dress is a mix of haute couture and fine jewelry, showcasing how fashion can transcend traditional design to become wearable art. While it is not intended for sale, the gown is set to tour select international exhibitions, including high-profile fashion and jewelry shows across Europe and Asia, serving as a symbol of the Middle East’s golden legacy.

Guinness World Records praised the creation, noting that it “celebrates artistry beyond its weight” and “harmoniously blends traditional Emirati motifs with modern sophistication.” They described the dress as “a wearable masterpiece that fuses heritage and innovation,” adding that its sheer value would require “a dedicated bodyguard and secure storage.” In a world where luxury is defined by imagination as much as rarity, Dubai has once again proven that gold is not just a material; it is an experience.
